FORMATION is a free-standing abstract sculpture carved from laminated plywood. The flowing contours and layered construction are inspired by natural landforms, geological strata, and the gradual processes that shape the landscape over time.

The sculpture explores the relationship between organic form and human construction. The visible layers of plywood reveal the material's internal structure, creating topographic lines that echo contours found in nature. Exposed bolts at the base intentionally reference the fabrication process, acknowledging the engineered methods used to create the work.

Minimalist in form yet rich in texture, FORMATION balances solidity and openness through its central void, inviting viewers to consider ideas of growth, erosion, movement, and transformation. The natural timber surface highlights the inherent beauty of the material while maintaining a clean contemporary aesthetic suitable for both domestic and commercial interiors.
